Penny Penny
Visionary artist creating immersive experiences through mixed media, exploring themes of identity, memory, and transformation.
Yes this really is my name I married a Penny.
I have always been artistic even from an early age, it was my main interest.
It the age of 16 I completed a foundation course and then got a job working in a pottery factory which to be honest was pretty boring then contract figurines, animal, birds etc for a Stratford company, However in my own timeI painted Portraits of people and animals.
I then took a course on decorative paint effects and was often asked to paint murals, I invented and developed the “Back from Black” beam process and founded both Renaissance Beams and Back from Black businesses , it was a unique process of transforming black painted beams without blasting or stripping and is still widely used and copied today.
Now I just paint and illustrate, when painting horses I like to capture the energy and movement where as my illustration are a little quirky and fun to come up with.
